ok i'm concentrating....

i think kelly mentioned this last class, and i think it's totally true. everyone is a little ADD. i can't seem to focus on one thing for a long period of time, no matter how important it is. i find myself trying to read our assigned articles and end up watching some movie on TV i've seen 5 times before. 7 pounds i think was the choice tonight. i guess if it was really a problem i wouldn't have passed as many classes as i have so i'm not too worried, but it's kind of annoying. it seems so simple, concentrate and do it. easier said than done. in fact, i'm pretty sure this post is some form of a distraction. now back to my movie..

Senioritis Isn't Allowed This Year...

So, as I'm sure a lot of you feel, senior year is finally starting to kick in. Lots of work, on top of more work. It's kind of nice having this class for a chance to express myself outside the classroom environment.

I can't tell you how many days of this school year so far I've been asked "So, do you plan on going to grad school?" I've been asked by parents, teachers, classmates, friends, you name it. My answer..."I have no idea." I've been told, and am slowly becoming convinced, that a psyc degree isn't very useful without at least a Master's. That being said, who ever said you had to get one RIGHT away? At least that's my opinion. So, as of now, I've changed my answer to "I'm not sure, but if I do I'll probably take some time off before I go back to school" which seems to buy me a little bit more time between questions. I'm pretty sure I don't have 2 more years of school in my system right away, not after finishing a grand total of 16.

I wish senior year of high school wasn't such a tease. Who knew that you'd actually have to do more work in college as you got older and not the other way around? I'm not sure I agree with this system....

The Close of the Weekend

So I'm still getting used to a blog, mostly just remembering to keep up with it. I'm slowly getting better.

Another weekend comes to a close, and what better way to end it than in the library....I've decided there's always at least one week every semester when every single class decides to make something due every day of the week. It doesn't sound as bad as it really is. This is that week. I'm trying to be productive and actually start things early, which is not how I usually operate and sort of adds to the stress of everything else. But, I seem to be managing so far.

On a lighter note, the weekend was fun. The family didn't come down, but I know I'll see them soon enough. Finally got to experience the new park on Neff. That place is way more than a park. I wish it was socially acceptable for college students to take part in such activities, something my friend and I both agree upon.

The weather was nice, but I'm officially starting to notice the beginning of fall. I'm still hoping for one more 95 degree pool day though. It could happen...
